Humble Praise

“Praise Him with trumpet sound;

Praise Him with harp and lyre.

Praise Him with tambourine and dancing;

Praise Him with stringed instruments and flute.

Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals.

Everything that has breath shall praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!”

— Psalm 150:3–6 TLV

Not everyone can be with us in person on a Saturday morning in Oceanport, NJ. Maybe you live too far away. Maybe you’re exploring Messianic Judaism for the first time and want to see what a teaching looks like before you visit. Maybe you attended a service and want to revisit something that was said. Or maybe you simply want to go deeper into God’s Word during the week.

Whatever the reason — we’re glad you’re here.

We’ve been recording our Shabbat teachings and making them available online so that the Word of God can reach beyond the walls of our gathering place. Because the truth is, what happens on Saturday mornings at Kehilat Ben David was never meant to stay in one room. It was meant to be shared.

What You’ll Find

Our video teachings cover the same ground we explore together as a congregation every Shabbat — rooted in the Hebrew Scriptures, centered on Yeshua, and taught in a way that honors the Jewish context of our faith.

Here’s what you can expect:

Torah Portion Teachings

Each week, Jewish communities around the world read the same portion of the Torah — a cycle that takes one year to complete, from Genesis through Deuteronomy. Our teachings follow this same cycle, exploring the weekly parashah and drawing out its meaning for our lives today. We don’t just read the text — we dig into it. What did it mean to the original audience? What does it reveal about God’s character? And how does Yeshua appear in every portion, from Beresheet (Genesis) to V’Zot HaBracha (the final blessing of Deuteronomy)?

Holiday and Appointed Times Teachings

During the biblical feasts — Passover, Shavuot, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Hanukkah, and Purim — our teachings focus on the meaning of each appointed time and how it connects to the work of Messiah. These are some of the richest, most revelatory teachings of the year. If you’ve never seen the feasts through a Messianic lens, these videos are a great place to start.

Topical Studies

From time to time, we teach on specific topics — the Jewish roots of our faith, what it means to be grafted in, the Sabbath, prayer, spiritual warfare, and the challenges of walking faithfully in a world that is drifting further from God’s truth. These teachings address the real questions and real struggles that our community faces.

Worship

Our worship is Messianic in style — Hebrew and English, drawing from the rich tradition of Jewish prayer and the expressive praise of the New Covenant community. Some of our videos include worship segments so you can experience what it sounds like when our congregation lifts its voice together. It is participatory, heartfelt, and centered on the God of Israel.

Why We Share Our Teachings Online

Yeshua told His disciples:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.”

— Matthew 28:19

We are a small congregation in New Jersey. But the Word of God is not small, and it is not limited by geography. When we record a teaching and share it online, it can reach someone in Texas, someone in Israel, someone in Brazil — someone we may never meet in person but who is hungry for the same truth we gather around every Shabbat.

We’ve heard from people who found our videos while searching for answers about Messianic Judaism. People who were curious about the Jewish roots of their faith. People who had never heard the Torah taught through the lens of Yeshua. People who were lonely, searching, or grieving — and found encouragement in a teaching they stumbled across at just the right time.

That’s why we do it. Not to build a platform — but to build the kingdom, one teaching at a time.

How to Watch

You can find our full library of teachings on our Videos page right here on the website. We also post our videos on our YouTube channel — subscribe to be notified when new teachings are posted.

Here are a few ways to make the most of the content:

  • Watch the latest teaching — start with our most recent Shabbat message and see what we’re studying right now
  • Follow the Torah portion — use our teachings to supplement your own weekly Torah reading. Each teaching corresponds to the parashah for that week
  • Explore a topic — browse by theme if you’re interested in a specific holiday, book of the Bible, or area of faith
  • Share with a friend — if a teaching speaks to you, pass it along. You never know who might need to hear it
  • Watch with your family — our teachings are accessible to anyone with a hunger for God’s Word. Gather around the screen the way you’d gather around the table

Better Yet — Come in Person

We love that our videos can reach people wherever they are. But there is no substitute for being in the room — singing together, hearing the shofar, breaking bread, sharing a meal, and being part of a community that knows your name.

A video can teach you. A community can change you.

If you’re anywhere near the New Jersey area, we would love to have you join us in person. There’s a seat at the table and a plate with your name on it.

We meet every 1st and 3rd Saturday at 12:30 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Oceanport, NJ. Come as you are.
